How do I place an order?

Please send us an e-mail to julie@splurgebakery.com and include your name, phone number, and details about the types and quantities of cookies you would like. Also include the date of your event. We will promptly contact you to confirm your order and discuss additional details. You may also call us at (973) 379-0740.

How much lead time do you need?

Our cookies are hand made and baked to order. To ensure that each customer receives the highest level of personal service and to meet our customers' deadlines, we prefer at least two (2) weeks lead time. We recommend, however, ordering as early as possible, to place your order in our production schedule. If your lead time is less than two weeks, please call and we will do our best to work with you.

How do I make sure Splurge Bakery has received all details of my order?

Before we begin to make your cookies, we will send you an e-mail with all details of your order for your review and approval. Such details will include the types and quantities of cookies you ordered and the exact words to be included on your cookies. We ask that you email back to confirm that you agree with all the details outlined.

Personalized favor tags and other items are available to further customize your order. Check our packaging page for ideas, and please call us with any questions.

Payment & Terms

What types of payment do you accept?

we take all forms of payment: credit cards, check and good ol' cash. Please send us your payment as soon as possible as only paid orders are placed into our production schedule. Our mailing address is: Splurge Bakery, 105 Main Street, Millburn, NJ 07041. You are responsible for any bank fees applied for insufficient funds.

What if my event is cancelled or I need to make changes to my order?

Orders cancelled or reduced in quantity more than 30 days prior to your event date are eligible to receive a 90% refund (a 10% order processing fee applies).

Increases in order quantity after the initial order is placed cannot be guaranteed, though we will make every effort to accommodate your request. The sooner you let us know, the greater chance we will be able to fulfill your request.

Quantity changes made after work on your order has begun may not be possible.

No cancellations are accepted with less than 30 days notice prior to your event date, though shipping fees may be refundable (provided your order has not already been shipped). Once your order has been shipped, absolutely no refunds are available.

What if my cookies arrive damaged?

Great care is taken in packaging our cookies. However, due to the fragile nature of cookies, occasional breakage during shipment is possible. To avoid the possibility of shortages, it is advisable that you order extras.

Please inspect your package upon arrival, and notify us immediately (no later than 24 hours) if breakage has occurred.

Only cookies that are completely broken will be considered for credit and we require that the cookies and the box they were shipped in be photographed for proof of damage before a credit may be issued. Splurge Bakery is not responsible for chips or defects in the appearance of your cookies that may happen during transport, or for minor breakage.

For shipments made during warm weather, we cannot be responsible for damage that occurs due to exposure to extremes in temperature during shipping. Order at your own risk for warm-weather shipments.

Should your cookies arrive completely broken and you have sent us photograph of your broken cookies and the shipping box, we will replace your cookies if there is time before your event. If there is not enough time before your event, Splurge Bakery will issue a credit in the amount of the value of your broken cookies good for one (1) year toward a future order of cookies.

May I receive a refund if I do not like my cookies?

Except as otherwise described in these FAQs, because our cookies are baked to order, customized and cannot be resold, all purchases are non-refundable.

Shipping

How will my cookies be shipped?

Depending on your geographic location, we will choose the best carrier (Fedex, UPS or USPS), with the goal of cookie delivery within one to two business days of shipment. In order to avoid boxes sitting in shipping hubs over the weekend, we only ship Monday – Wednesday.

How much is shipping?

Shipping costs are based on weight and destination. After you place your order we can give you an estimate of costs but will not have a final amount until after your order is shipped.

If you would like to provide us with a third-party Federal Express or UPS number, we will accommodate you.

To what locations do you offer shipping?

We offer shipping to the 48 contiguous U.S states only. No P.O. Boxes, please.

How soon after baking do your cookies ship out?

Because of the nature of our image cookies, a drying time must be allowed for after baking. Therefore, our orders generally ship out within 48 hours after baking.

When should I arrange to have my cookies delivered?

We recommend that you arrange your delivery so that your cookies are scheduled to arrive one or two days before your event.

What if my order is delayed by the shipper?

Though rare, delays may occur due to conditions beyond our control or that of our shipper. We are not responsible for shipping delays caused by shipping services, weather or disaster conditions, or for charges incurred for redelivery attempts and/or incorrect address information. We will, however, issue a full refund for shipping charges for an error in delivery if the shipping company is passing a credit onto us for the error, and if the error is not caused by incorrect address information, weather or disaster conditions.

If we are provided an incorrect address, you are responsible for any extra fees incurred for resending cookies.

Images

What is the best way to send you my image?

If you have a digital image, please e-mail it to us at julie@splurgebakery.com. Please send us a high resolution jpeg file, ideally at least 300 dpi. If you have a printed photo, please mail it to us at:
Splurge Bakery
P.O. Box 728
Short Hills, NJ 07078

Will my printed photograph be returned to me?

Absolutely.

What format of image do I need to send you?

High resolution JPEG format, ideally at least 300 dpi. You may also send a hard copy. If sending a scan, images should be saved as a JPEG, at least 300 dpi. All images you send us should be at least 200KB in size for the best reproduction onto your cookies.

While we can work with lower-resolution images, color reproduction and clarity may be compromised. We print in CMYK (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Black), therefore we can not match PMS colors.

Try to choose photos that are well lit and preferably have a light colored background. Photos taken in shadows reproduce darker. Also, close-up shots are preferred.

Can you repair a damaged photograph?

While we generally crop and adjust slightly the coloring of each photograph in order to ensure an accurate reproduction of your image on your cookies, we are not able to provide extensive repairs to your image.

What if I want multiple images for my order?

In general, we will accommodate two photos per order, with a $7.50 change fee for each additional image.
