We love 1st birthday parties – I remember planning my daughter’s first birthday, it’s such a special time. Frankly, I wanted so much to find something personalized that would show off her name and feature her. Here I was, living in New York City, and I could not find what I was looking for, which got me thinking about a personalized cookie business I ended up starting! I settled on black and white cookies – except I had them made purple and white – with my daughter’s name written in icing. Not a bad idea, in fact I plan on introducing black and whites later this year. But now, Splurge Bakery offers such cool personalized favors for your baby’s 1st birthday. What better way to send out a holiday invitation than on a delicious Splurge Bakery cookie! Westcare Health System, from North Carolina, asked us to do just that. Each cookie measured 5″x3″ and came individually wrapped with a beautiful cranberry satin ribbon. Don’t you wish you could receive an invitation to this holiday party!

Uncle Gene celebrated his 99th Birthday last night at Tavern On The Green in New York City. As he will tell you, he is actually 3 days into his 100th year (his actual birthday was on October 14). Of course, Splurge Bakery cookie favors were there celebrating along with everyone else! We used a photo of Uncle Gene taken when he was 89, flying in a helicopter over Buenos Aires with the President!
